Welcome to Visual Arts

Hello students and families! I am thrilled to welcome you to our visual arts program. Whether this is your first experience with art, or you’ve been drawing, painting, or creating for years, this class is a place for everyone to explore, learn, and express themselves.

In our classroom, you’ll get the chance to experiment with different materials and techniques—from drawing and painting to sculpture and mixed media. Along the way, we’ll also explore the work of famous artists and learn how art connects to the world around us.

Here are a few things to keep in mind as we start this journey together:

• Come ready to try new things! Don’t worry about being perfect; art is all about experimenting and growing.

• Respect your classmates and their ideas. We’re all learning, and everyone’s creativity deserves kindness and support.

• Take care of our materials and space. When we all work together, our classroom stays a welcoming and inspiring place to create.
